Timber & Paper Plaques

Never wanting to throw anything away, i had to find a use for these off cuts.
Once roof boarding from a 19th century school, now discarded on the work shop floor.
After sanding the face and the edges, i applied a water based glue and arranged old scraps of paper and some ink stamped pieces of vintage linen.
A fine coat of a water based matt varnish to seal.
A hole drilled at either side and a wire loop from which to hang.
These were used to decorate a window of an art supplies shop...
